Announcement of Battery Installation Completion and FIP Operation Start at Nagasaki Power Plant

Background of Battery Introduction

Our company has been developing solar power generation projects in Nagasaki Prefecture, but to address the issue of output fluctuations in renewable energy, we decided to introduce a battery storage system. In cooperation with Omron Corporation, we have built a state-of-the-art energy management system, enabling efficient utilization of generated power and stable supply to the grid.

Utilization of the FIP Scheme

This project aims to secure profits through both electricity sales linked to market prices and premiums from renewable energy surcharges by utilizing the FIP scheme. By coordinating with the battery storage, we are implementing detailed operational optimization, such as discharging during periods of high electricity prices. This has allowed us to build a model that achieves higher profitability compared to the conventional FIT scheme.

Partnership with Omron Corporation

This battery storage system was realized through the construction and introduction by Omron Corporation. The company has extensive experience in the energy management field and has provided a sophisticated monitoring and control system for this project. President Ryu Kokushi stated, "Through our strong partnership with Omron Corporation, the Nagasaki power plant has entered a new growth phase. We intend to expand this successful model to power plants nationwide."
