Commencement of Battery Installation Work at Nagasaki Power Plant

TOUCHI INTERNATIONAL CORP. has commenced construction work for installing a battery storage system at a solar power plant in Nagasaki Prefecture, with the aim of effectively utilizing renewable energy. This work is scheduled for completion in the first half of 2025.

Overview of Installation Work

This installation work will introduce a high-capacity lithium-ion battery storage system along with accompanying power conditioners, transformer equipment, and monitoring and control systems. It is designed to seamlessly integrate with existing solar power generation facilities, enabling efficient storage and use of generated electricity. During the work, priority is given to consideration for the surrounding environment and ensuring safety.

Purpose of Installation and Expected Effects

By introducing the battery storage system, we aim to smooth out output fluctuations from solar power generation, reduce the load on the grid, and maximize value in the electricity market. Specifically, by storing electricity during times when generation exceeds demand and discharging during times of high demand, a significant improvement in the economics of renewable energy is expected.
