Regarding the Acquisition of Ibaraki Factory and Start of Copper Nugget Production

Overview of the New Factory

The newly acquired Ibaraki Factory (Address: 2561-2 Nishinarai, Kasumigaura City, Ibaraki Prefecture) is equipped with facilities optimal for processing and sorting non-ferrous metals, as well as a vast site area. At this factory, we have operationalized a recycling process that collects and processes used copper wires and copper products, reproducing them as high-purity copper nuggets. This contributes to the stable supply of non-ferrous metal raw materials and the construction of a resource-recycling society.

Strengthening of Non-Ferrous Metal Business

The acquisition of the Ibaraki Factory is an important strategic investment in our non-ferrous metal business. By transitioning from the traditional trading business model to a manufacturing business model with in-house processing and production capabilities, we achieve thorough quality control and enhanced cost competitiveness. President Kokushi Ryu stated, "The Ibaraki Factory is the new heart of our non-ferrous metal business. We have established a system to stably deliver the highest quality copper nuggets to our customers."
